MNTC Students Earn OSHBA Scholarships
The Oklahoma State Home Builders Association recently awarded $1,600 in scholarships to four
The scholarship funds are to be used to assist students in construction trades programs. Recipients are selected by a committee of construction-related trades instructors and the administrator of scholarships for MNTC. The student, or students, who earn the scholarships funds must be making satisfactory progress toward graduation, and also need financial support to attain this goal.
OSHBA Associates Council representative Donna Cullins made the award presentation to the students. The funds are to help with tuition, books, or financial hardships in order to allow good-standing students to complete their program.
The Associates Council is one of eight councils within the OSHBA organization. Their council is made up of OSHBA members who are not builders, remodelers or developers, but instead, own or work for firms or corporations engaged in a trade, industry or profession related to homebuilding. Members of the Associates Council include salespeople, marketing professionals, realtors and insurance brokers. Associate Council Committee meetings give these members the opportunity to network and learn more about the industry.
